Sibling relationships among Lawrentians are fairly common, but Tony Greenberg '94 and his sister, Elizabeth Greenberg Wilkinson '02, share an uncommon bond. Tony returned to Lawrenceville to teach after college, and Elizabeth, then a student, signed up for his Japanese history elective.

Simon Hong '01 has been making gifts to The Lawrenceville Fund, the School's annual giving vehicle, and to the School Camp, where he rose to the position of head counselor, since his Fifth Form year, when he also served as School president. Since then, he has also volunteered for Lawrenceville as a member of his 5th, 10th, 15th, and 20th Reunion Committees, and as a Class Agent.

Many Lawrenceville families proudly claim a multigenerational connection to the School, but the Wojciechowicz family stands out – not only for the depth of its engagement, but also for the commitment of the family's Lawrentians by marriage.

"Lawrenceville changed the arc of my life," says Garry D. Howard '77. The recipient of a full, four-year scholarship, he'd been accepted by every top high school in New York City, but a visit to campus convinced him of the possibilities in Lawrenceville’s multiple academic buildings, massive field house, and pastoral setting.

For the Sabat family, it all began in third grade – for John Sabat P'25. An advanced math student, his teacher responded by presenting him with challenges beyond the curriculum, sparking an interest and eventual career in statistics and data science.

When Bob Ryan arrived at Lawrenceville on a scholarship for staff children, no one could have predicted that he would become a celebrated sports columnist and author.

Jane Ferguson crossed the Atlantic to begin a year abroad at Lawrenceville completely unaware of the profound impact it would have on her life.

Erhan Bedestani entered Lawrenceville curious and driven. He emerged with a distinct plan for his future and the tools to follow through.
